You can take the girl out of the south... but you can't take the south out of the girl!

Model Behavior

I wrote a while back about Warner's first modeling gig.  I did not go into great detail, but is now time to tell the entire story.  When we arrived at the photography studio all was well.  W was well rested and fed which normally equals a pretty happy boy.  Then I saw the clothes that he would be wearing-not the cutest.  (In fact, Matt can't believe that I posted pictures with those "dreadful" clothes on.)  I think that the photographer was able to capture the myriad of moods that Warner displayed that day and the photos are just to funny not to share- even if the clothes are not my favorite to say the least:)  Warner was happy and even agreeable when I changed him out of his truly cute clothes to what he would be modeling.  He was walking around, petting the dog, giggling and genuinely happy kid.  Then I put him on the platform and all hell broke loose.  the tears started flowing freely and my happy child turned into a terrified little boy in the blink of an eye.  He did not want to be on the platform, but in my arms.  I gave him loving for quite a bit and photographer told us to take our time.  So we tried again...

Then I loved on him a bit more.  Third time is a charm-right?  Not so much.  We played peek a boo- anything to keep him happy.  But as you can see that did not work because then he covered his face!
After this, more crying.  So even though his belly was full, we turned to food to help.  "Kid Crack" to be exact.  No I did not give my kid crack, but yogurt bites (I also call kid crack because he LOVES them).  And then we caught him by surprise!
Ok we got the shot-kind of.  There are some better ones of him, but I chose to post the funny ones since they more accurately tell the story!  Then it was time for the next outfit.
"Seriously, what am I wearing?"

"I need more food to stand here!  Come on people!"

"I'm good for now.  Yogurt bites in both hands and one in my mouth-score!"

Time for the Thriller dance!

Yogurt bites make strong boys!
Time for another outfit change.  Warner was getting to be a pro at this now.  Okay, truth time.  We were figuring out what would make him happy and allow the photographer to get the necessary shots.
"I would like to renegotiate my contract please."

Everything considered, we did end up having a good time.  Warner ate lots of yogurt bites and started enjoying himself- despite the "dreadful" clothes.  Now I have a whole new respect for stage moms.  I know that they have a bad reputation and I am by no means condoning their behavior.  But the things that go on behind the scenes are crazy to get "the shot" and I have a whole new respect for that!
