You can take the girl out of the south... but you can't take the south out of the girl!

Disney Dude

We recently took Warner to Disney for the first time and man did we have a blast!  I will admit that it is incredibly overwhelming to take a 19 month old to see Mickey (or Mick as we call him).  We were not sure how W would do, but he did great!  We went in with very low to no expectations and I am convinced that not expecting too much is the key to a successful trip.  We arrived late afternoon on Thursday to our fabulous two bedroom condo and began to settle in before heading to Downtown Disney for dinner.  Warner did great, ate like a champ, played and danced with the band!  He even stayed up past his bedtime:)

Breaking it down for the ladies!

"Dad, I got this.  The chicks dig me!  I don't need any advice Old Man!"

"Hey mom, is she too old for me?  I'm kind of digging the singer in the middle!"
After a crazy night's sleep (that's another story), we were ready to tackle the Magic Kingdom.  Warner was in good spirits and after breakfast we ventured to the land where dreams come true.  (Okay, I was definitely drinking the Disney kool-aide!)  Well, we got to the park and needless to say Warner did not know what to do.  There was so much to look at and it was a bit overwhelming.  We let him run around a bit and he quickly made himself at home!  We were able to catch some rides and had a great time, but by 4:00 we were all spent and headed back to the room.
"seriously people!  There is so much to do and you want a picture?  Amateurs!"

"Mommy, look over there!  It's Mickey!"

"I'm going to get that mouse!"

"Everyone knows to stop and smell the flowers-right?"

"I'm ready for the magic carpets!"

"This pony is at my beck and call...come to think of it so is my daddy!"
On Saturday, we went to Animal Kingdom and I loved it!  It didn't feel as crowded as the Magic Kingdom and Warner really had a great time.  We watched shows, rode Exhibition Everest while Warner napped and just enjoyed ourselves.  I must admit that of all the fancy rides and shows, I think Warner liked the playground the best.  It was built like a dinosaur dig site and had water in one little spot.  Well you guessed it, Warner found the water and got DRENCHED!

"I may have just watched the Lion King, but we all know that I am the real king here!"

"Seriously dad, this is not a good look for me!"

"Chilling with Gigi while on the safari ride."

"I'm gonna beat you Gigi!  I may be small, but I have a keen eye and strong arm!"

"Oh how I love water!"

We had such a wonderful time at Disney!  I am sure that we will be back when Warner is older.  I was worn out after this trip as taking a kid to Disney is alot at any age!
